Description of Service

Lincoln Parish Public Transit is a non-emergency, handicap access service to the residents of Lincoln Parish.

This system operates a demand/response service and reservations are required. 

Our fleet consists of 5 buses, 3 vans and 1 SUV. Six of which are equipped with lifts and are accessible to persons with disabilities. 

The service is from curb to curb and drivers are not permitted to enter the passenger's home. The agency does not provide escort service. However, passengers with disabilities are allowed free service for one escort ages of 16 or older.

Service Area

Transportation services are provided to the general public, within Lincoln Parish to any destination in the parish and some surrounding parishes. Destinations include  doctor's offices, work, grocery stores, social service agencies, drug stores, and any other service agencies. 

Days and Hours

Office Hours:  Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm

Hours of rider operation: Monday-Friday 4:00am -5:00pm 

Hours to schedule cash-fare pickup: Contact the office 1 Day prior to your appointment by 12pm to schedule a ride.
 

Transportation at no cost to you

  • To apply for medical transportation, paid through your insurance (Medicaid), please call the number located on the back of your card. Select the option "transportation" and request transportation in Lincoln Parish.
  • To apply for a transportation pass (40 rides), contact our office starting October 1 of each year to complete an application. Passes are available to low-income individuals that meet the required guidelines. Passes are first come, first serve and will be available until funds are depleted. *ID,SS card, proof of income and proof of residency is required to apply.
  • Free tickets are based on grant availability
