The mission of the Lincoln Parish Registrar of Voters' Office is to enthusiastically promote voter registration and voter participation. This office is a non-partisan, parochial office responsible for safeguarding an individual's right to vote.  Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Voter registration and the update of voter registration documents onto the statewide network
  • The administration and enforcement of laws and rules and regulations of the Louisiana Secretary of State relating to various election duties and voter registration.
  • Preparing for and conducting Early Voting for each election
  • Absentee by Mail Voting, including 65+ Program
  • Voting at Nursing Homes
  • Voting for Military and Citizens Overseas
  • Administering special programs for persons with disabilities to include those voters who are hospitalized
  • Community outreach efforts to promote voter education and participation
  • Serving as the "nexus" for election information
  • Implementing state, parish, and municipal redistricting plans 
  • Canvassing Voter Rolls
  • Assisting voters and polling place commissioners on election day
  • The registrar serves as a member of the Parish Board of Election Supervisors who are tasked with preparing and counting absentee and in person votes.
