The primary purpose of the Lincoln Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness is to maintain an effective and comprehensive emergency management program for the parish pursuant to the authority specified in Louisiana Revised Statutes, Title 29, Chapter 6. This program includes the four related phases of emergency management: Preparedness, Response, Recovery and Mitigation. The agency plans and coordinates emergency operations to sustain the parish for "All Hazard" incidents related to natural or man-made threats. The office provides coordination for training and exercises for parish first response agencies to ensure the protection of the lives and property for the citizens of Lincoln Parish.
