Civil

The Civil Department is responsible for the filing of all pleadings relating to civil, probate, adoption records and issuing services and notices.

The Civil Clerk maintains the minutes of the Court.

Small Claims and Civil Suits

An individual may file any money claim under the amount of $3,000 on the Clerks Docket; all other claims are filed under the Civil Suits.

Probate

These records include successions, interdictions, and emancipations.

Adoptions

Adoption records are not public.

All Civil records are maintained in the Lincoln Parish Clerk of Court's Office.
