NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Article 7, Section 23 (C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the Lincoln Parish Police Jury will be held at its regular meeting place at 300 West Texas Ave, 3rd Floor, Ruston, Louisiana, on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, at 7:00pm to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum. The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next year from the increased millage is as follows:
General Alimony is estimated to be $1,430,160, and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $36,961.
Parishwide Road Construction is estimated to be $2,431,900, and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $110,290.
Road Maintenance is estimated to be $2,431,900, and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $110,290.
Parishwide Library Operation is estimated to be $2,476,016, and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase is $115,805.
