DEFINITION:
Under Park Director supervision, is responsible for work of routine difficulty in the performance of manual labor; may operate light equipment on a seasonal basis; and performs other related work as required.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Performs manual tasks involving the construction and maintenance of the Park facilities such as mowing, edging, preparing flower beds, digging ditches, raking leaves, picking up litter; may operate light equipment such as tractor with rotary cutter or other types of mowers on a seasonal basis; may operate power saw, roto-tiller and other power tools; may be required to operate highway licensed vehicles occasionally.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Ability to follow oral instructions and do heavy manual labor for extended periods and under unfavorable weather conditions. Differs from Maintenance I in terms of versatility and supervision.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent approved by Louisiana Department of Education .
Training and Experience: Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience
License: Appropriate Vehicle Operator's License.
