Residential Boom Truck Collection Policy
1. Items should be placed on the back slope of the road side drainage ditch of a public road not on the shoulder of the road or in the bottom of the ditch. Pick-ups cannot be made on private roads.
2. Bulk waste should be placed away from vehicles, poles, mail boxes, power lines, meters, and other obstructions that might interfere with pick-up.
3. No demolition, renovation, construction, or tree service debris from a contractors work will be picked up. The property owner is responsible for proper disposal of debris left by contractors.
4. Yard waste such as leaves, grass clippings, pine straw, shrub clippings and garden waste must be placed in sealed plastic or paper yard bags to be picked up.
5. Lumber, limbs, branches and other tree parts should be cut in sections no more than 6 feet in length and 8 inches in diameter and neatly stacked.
6. No debris from land clearing operations will be picked up.
7. One 10 foot by 8 foot by 6 foot load per resident per month will be picked up. Pickups MUST be scheduled by calling the Lincoln Parish Landfill at 318-251-5159
8. White goods and other bulky items should be no more than 8 feet in length and 3 feet in width. White goods include, but are not limited to, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, clothes dryers, dishwashers, and air conditioners.
9. All oil and gas should be removed from items to be picked up.
10. No automobile or truck engines or tires will be picked up.
11. No hazardous material such as paint, oil, or batteries will be picked up.
12. Exceptions to this policy can be made when the President of the Lincoln Parish Police Jury makes a disaster declaration as provided for in the Louisiana Disaster Act of 1993.
